In
the world of ever decreasing development cycle times, running digital
simulations of design concepts has become a critical part of this process.
That's where
FEMAP
comes in. FEMAP has been and continues to be the
world’s leading Windows- based pre- and post-processor for finite element
analyses (FEA). FEMAP can use geometric data from virtually
any CAD system in the development of FEA models and
provides the user with a wide variety of element types, properties,
material models, loads, and boundary conditions. FEMAP can
also output CAD-neutral, solver-neutral model files that can be solved using any one of more than
30 industry standard solvers - including ABAQUS, ANSYS, CAEFEM, LS-DYNA,
and FLUENT - all using a common interface.
However, the
productivity of FEMAP does not stop there anymore as Siemens PLM
Software has raised
the bar once again. FEMAP now has a full range of its own
solvers that are available. First and foremost is is NX Nastran.
Nastran has been the de facto solver for stress and deflection analyses
for over 20 years and is now integrated into the FEMAP suite. Other
solvers available include the Thermal Solver, Advanced Thermal Solver, and
Flow Solver.
FEMAP is one of the Siemens PLM Software Velocity Series products. Because of that, it
integrates seamlessly with the modeling software in the series, Solid
Edge. You can launch FEMAP directly from within the Solid
Edge environment. All import concerns are gone! If you
would like to find out more about FEMAP and how to take you digital
simulation process to the next level, please

us, and we will be glad to discuss it with you.
